Size Matters
I have had two pieces accepted in Size Matters, an exhibit at some things looming, a gallery in Reading, Pennsylvania. Each piece of fiberart needed to tell it's story in a 12 x 12 inch format. These were a joy to work on.
Mélange
Dots and Doodles
The opening reception is May 7, 2011. I sure wish I could be there.

Roots + Wings
I love wind turbines. I have files and files of images of these things from many continents. And, so love including them in my art. This quilt consists of a number of photos which have been changed, adapted, funked up and used in new ways. I love this piece as it includes roots and wings and the all important reminder that who we are, is enough.

The Flying Geese Bridge
I pulled together a fiber show for the women of the First United Methodist church. This was the 9th annual show. The theme this year was Portlandia. See this post to read the story.
Twelve artists from the Portland area created works inspired by this theme.
Mine I fondly call The Flying Geese Bridge because of it's similarity to the quilt block by the same name. When my daughter was young and enjoyed all things quilting, we noticed this pattern on the bridge and so nicknamed this bridge. It is really named the Fremont Bridge but not so by me. It does, however always let's me know that I am home.
